Could be the xenon ballast or the lamp going. Hopefully will just be a lamp, unfortunately neither are particularly cheap.

Will most likely be the bulb, you can get one for circa £70 or so the last time I checked. Your after a D2S bulb.

They turn pink or green at the end of their life, it will explode pretty soon.

Taken from Wiki: HMI lamps have been known to explode violently at the end of their lifetime or if stressed enough. While not as violent as the explosion of a xenon short-arc bulb, they still require caution.

Replace ur blub asap!

yeah you can buy cheep bulbs their not as well made and they will last about a 3rd of the life as a manufactures recommended one but their cheep. You can change they your self but do not touch the bulb with your bare skin as the oils for ur fingers will burn away on the glass weakening the glass and causing it to crack, just use a clean tissue to handle it into place

The standard fit bulbs are Osram Xenarc 4300k D2S bulbs, a quick search on google shows £67 for one. Oh and you'll most likely end up taking the bumper off to get the light out to change it as its a mission with them in place, drivers side is the easier of the two iirc though.
