Xenon on, xenon off?

My n/s Xenon seems to work when it wants to.

Any common faults, just got a Clio 172

ballast or bulb usually. could be a loose connector but unlikely.

Do i need to do anything special before removing anything to replace parts of the headlamp?

check battery... if the battery is low the balast wont fire...

Same issue, mine is the Ballast Resisitor which sits underneath the headlamp, its a bi-atch to get too and its an expensive part!

I had a similar problem a year or two ago - turned out the cap on the back of the headligh had come off and there was water inside the headlight assembly causing the ballast to short and not start the xenon. Is there any condensation on the inside of your headlight?

Just had a look. No condensation from what I can see in the dark. Will check for water tomorrow
