Dont they produce a flat beam, therefore no problem? I could be completley wrong tho, probably talking s**t

pretty sure they flick up to the left if you park say 20 feet from a wall you'll notice, most headlights do. just have em wound down so they dont point at others faces.

it's a legal requirement to have beam deflectors.

Can you not just get normal stick on beam deflectors?

Looks like you'll have to go to the dealers and get them adjusted ,the xenons are set for UK roads , i.e. pointing off centre to the left There is a white plastic allen head screw to adjust the height of the beam on the back of the headlight unit , i heard there are also a screws to adjust from left to right but i've never seen it .

How long are you going to france? do you intend to do much night driving? if your only going for a week or two and not travelling too far at night I personally wouldn't worry to much about it myself. otherwise, stick a bit of tape over the lamps to deflect if your that worried.

Taa daa!

"Modern high-intensity discharge (HID) or xenon headlights
These can't be adapted by applying an external mask. Fortunately, many feature an internal 'shutter' that can be moved into place by a screw or lever adjustment at the back of the headlamp unit. But some designs are less convenient and the dealer will need to make the adjustment. "

When I drove to the 'Ring, we just stuck bits of electrical tape on strategic points on our headlights to stop them blinding "Ze Germans" and those cheese eating surrender monkeys. I wouldn't go to Renault - they'll only charge you a fortune to do the work, then charge you again when you come home.

Do you think if you got pulled over they would know the lights were HID? Or that they weren't adjusted properly. If you just put some tape over in part of the light I'm sure that would do the job.

Most people in France don't know what a bloody Clio sport is. When I got stopped they didn't care that the lights hadn't been adjusted or anything. They were more interested in the £500 I was giving them. t***s.

Personally i wouldnt bother for 4 days. I work in france at the moment and they drive like there heads are up there arses - its a nightmare compared to the UK (and my missus is french and she agrees lol)

I could probably count the amount of clio sports ive seen over the 2 years on one hand, i thought they'd be everywhere. They don't pay road tax so that aint the problem, its the price of insurance so the missus tells me

Hmm, might well just get the covers, because i doubt i will be driving at night. Will let you know.
inside your lamp near the bulb there is a little leaver, so u can make you beam a flat beam! you need little hands though, as you need to place your finger down one side of the power pack on the back of the bulb,
