Yanoo differences

What're the main differences between the yanoo 3.0 and 1.0 versions? I understand the 3.0 you can adjust the amount of force required to put it into a gear, but isn't the 1.0 preset to a suitable level?

Just trying to figure out which is the best to go for. Was just going to go with the 3.0 to be honest as my gearstick is so sloppy.

Yeah 3.0 is adjustable by two screws (yet to fiddle with my one, but it's stiff!) and 1.0 is just as it is I think.

Get the 3. The adjustability is really nice. It feels absolutely brilliant.

Keep me updated on this @Louis', I don't even know if this is possible on mine but would be interesting to find out.

I spoke to Yanoo over messenger, and he said the 3.0 doesn't work with the BMS, but i'm not entirely sure on the 1.0. From reading to the end of that thread @OssPoop it seems pointless to get a groupbuy as it's just not cost effective.
I'm thinking of just getting the 3.0 and using it with my standard shifter for the time being as i really like my carbon insert haha...

These were the prices too of the 3.0.

Hello,

thank you for your interest. Currently I have no Stiff Shift 3.0 in stock. I will have some in 2 weeks time. This would not work with BMS shifter.
It's £86 (Stiff Shift 3.0, stiffer ball insert, small metal bush, postage)
or £94 with a pair of brass bush.

Regards,
Yanoo

Think he stopped making them as it was getting close to the pms shifter. That's my thoughts anyway.

The Yanoo 1.0 works fine in a modded scenic/bms shifter, thats what i use in mine

I have scenic and Yanoo 3 - and not convinced by the Yanoo 3, i currently have mine set as loose as possible. Its hard to fine tune as it only needs an tiny (8th or so) of a turn on the screws to go from loose to stupidly stiff. And when too stiff at it doesnt centre to 3/4th location. It also squeaks/creaks despite being well lubed.
I only wanted it to remove the play in the old setup, but suspect a OE refresh of parts would have done the same job for a lot less. There's less play, but still some as thats inherent and inside the gearbox so impossible to removed.
Seems odd as everyone else raves about them, so maybe just me!

I suspect Yanoo may be confusing the BMS, with the PMS or the B&M (style) shifters, and both of the latter wont work with a Yanoo. (when talking about whats compatible with the stiff shifts)
