Looks lovely, im sure there will be loads of advice on here, i brought a 182 a few weeks back it cost £1500, but it did need a new de-phaser and cam belt, new exhaust and alloys refurbed.

Seems a reasonable price from a dealer. Check service history, get a hpi check, and if belts/dephasor haven't been done you'll want to be looking closer to £3k to budget for this work.

WTF, unless its being done for free?

Cambelt aux belt and relevent pulleys will set you back 500 or so that MUST be done every 5 years/72k. Not just belts as its usually the pulleys that fail. Dephaser is up to you, but for just that part alone its another £170 iirc

Looks like a nice, clean motor! I would say go and look at it and if your happy with it then go for it :race:

and tensioners/pulleys? Thats the important bit

Seems a little steep. £3700 for an 8 year old clio?

It needs to have a thick wad of service history and invoices.

The belts will be up in 2 years, but you'll be hard pushed to make a bargaining point out of that at time of sale.

Nice colour though, a lovely example. If you get it, don't be tempted to ruin it, there's enough "modded" 182's floating around already, standard cars will always be worth more and will be harder to find too.

keeping it completely standard, it maybe nearli 8 year old but its only done 45k with service history about lots of reciepts from renault manchester and iv been looking round for weeks now and all others iv come across have had shabby interior (flaky leather, gearknob faded, ripped thumb grips and peeling steering wheel) but this as none of that and i could only find 1 tiny tiny stone chip on bonnet, no scuffs or scrapes anywhere, 1 owner from new

goodj - i didnt pay 3700 i paid 3550 but got loads for that

ye the lot

would you say thats a fair price?

Fair price if the belts are done properly, hope they have Renault belt experience as its very easy to get the timing wrong. Although it'll run, it'll be down on power. I probably would have bought the car without the belts done, then took it to a specialist on here for piece of mind

:)

its nice when you get a good one, just put a bit of money aside thou just incase something like the cam belt or de-phaser shocks you
