yellow gunk in oil filler cap :S

My car hasn't moved since december and I just went out to start it up and tidy it up a bit, I looked in the oil filler cap and its full of a thick yellow gunk, does anyone know what this is and why its there?Its a 1.2 16v,Cheers

It'll be emulsified oil. Basically oil and water mixing. Common on the 1.2 clios that don't do too many long runs. Give it a good run and see if it clears. If not check the coolant tank for brown discolouring. This would indicate the head gasket has failed

99.9% of 1.2 clio's have this.

Its because the oil filler neck is so long that condensation builds up.

Clean it all off, check the oil and water levels, go for a long drive (motorway/dual carriageways) and check. I'm willing to be it will be fine.

My old man has this issue in his 1.2.

As above its simply due to short runs, just scrape the crap off the oil filler top

standard factory fit. It's not even down to short runs, they just have a really crap breather system and condensation gets trapped
