Yes another I have Clayed my car Thread

Well bought the magiures clay kit from Halfrauds last week and clayed the car, only just got round to taking some pictures though so here goes!!

The amount of s**t it brought up was unbelievable, now it feels as smooth as a babys bottom lol

Done matt black to be different and its always seemed to have a positive affect and makes the car stand out

I am a clay virgin...I know nothing about it, but having seen the threads about claying I want to have a go!! What should I get?? (ie are there different types?)

lol @ people thinkin clay is the muts nuts...It's just one part of detailing, and will look worse after...You really need to hit it with polish/Seal/wax after. Or it'll be for nothin.

Can't deny it doesn't look good tho.

I got megs quick clay.. basically, wash the car & dry it, then use shampoo & water or the quick detailer you get to wet the panel, break off a bit of clay & wipe it over.

Just keep the panel/clay wet and the clay needs to keep being turned.
If you were closer, I'd help you!

good question, not sure on that one? i was told every 12 months:S

Looks clean.

How often depends on where you park etc. Best test to see if you car needs claying is to wash it and then with you hand in a clean plastic sandwich back feel if there is things stuck to the paint the washing has not removed. Once or twice a year should be fine for most.
