Cleaning the block face up a 1-5 thou max will make next to no difference and only needs to be done if the face is corroded, pitted or uneven, its just for gasket sealing performance mostly. It wont affect piston/valve clearance by any large amount, because if you have 1-5 thou clearance issues to begin with, you have bigger matters to attend too.

Just ordered some ACL big end race bearings for it :) Got the mains, bottem end gasket set, thrust bearings and a headgasket too.

Will get new bolts if they have streched past 117 (iirc)

yea, loads of peeps use it, but you cant leave the engine around for too long as its quite thin and will run off.

Ok, hope to get it all done in one full day so should be sweet, i'll crank it a few times with the coil off too throw some oil up before i start it too.

Do you need to run a new engine (rebuilt) at all?

And injectors unplugged and spark plugs out.

Drive it like normal TBH, just change the oil after the first 200 miles or so.

yes i can read, i know what it says. bearings, cams, rods etc yes, but dont put it on the bores/rings/pistons, the rings wont bed in nice.
