Yey shes home

finally after just over 2 weeks in the garage my clio is finally home :)

feels and sounds so much better,
hopefully going to take a half day today so go clean it and put in my head unit

It's a stand-alone engine management system

commonly used on conversions where the standard ecu can't be adapted to run the car.. ITB's etc

lol i dont have omex,

it was in the garage for a cambelt change thats all :)
just took them a while but its all done now :)

car runs sweet as now

one of the locking wheel nuts had been put on so tight it had stretched the threads and it had come lose, so i need to buy a whole new set ideally,
thats what they told me anyway,

but its fixed now, what ever that was.
loving having it back, its sooo much nicer to drive than the ph1

just easyer,
smoother, less raw good thing imo, not as noicey and you dont want to puke everytime you look at the dash

id still have my ph1 back anyday tho, should never have sold it :(
 
it's not nicer to drive than a Ph1, it's slow and unresponsive... needs cams, headwork, inlets, Omex, LC pistons and a turbo/charger ;)

actually ive decided its actually not all that slower than the ph1 now, took it for a blast to work this morning and i dont think there would be that much it it you know :)

just less nova sounding hahah

i dont want a car like yours half the reason i sold the ph1 was because it looked like yours,

im happy with what i have, it is getting cammed but thats it. House comes 1st
ive lost alot of the enthusiasm i had for modding cars i guess im growing up :(

or sick of ploughing loads of money into a dying asset haha. I'm slowly realising that. I'm just chucking my money away by doing anything to my 172. I really want inlets, sports cat and a remap but thats about 700 quid down the drain

That doesn't count, it's probably quicker overall than your Ph1 as the coilovers were so badly setup they were almost certainly worse than standard. For speed there's only one way to test, get it down the runway and see what it does... as long as it gets a better time than me starting in 4th gear I wont give you too much stick :rasp:

considering over time yours has had about 7k ploughed into it ontop of initial purchase price id be hugely dissapointed if it wasnt considerably faster

lucky for you yove payed for very little of it, but if i were looking to spend that much on a car it would have to be an evo or something deff not a clio lol

But I'd still have a quicker car, if it got close I'd just ditch the bodies and do the other thing Andy suggested ;) muhahahaha 400bhp and 350+lbs/ft Clio would just about do it... still tempted, it's that or have the most powerful ITB'd bad boy in the club (UK?)

as i said you would have to do some silly work to cope with that much power not worth it. youll never use the power to its full potential
