Yokos

Looking at buying a new set of rims and the best quote iv got are covered in Yokos! Im i likely to write my car off in the wet with these? or not?

Ask for Toyo Proxies! Yokos are a v.good soft tyre and perform ok in the wet, but toyos are "The Nutz"

No i think their very good in the wet. I have had Yoko A509s and A539s and theyve been fine

i;m running A539s, cause they are cheap, just as good as anything really and you really shouldnt be doing the same speeds in the wet....its not like they are teflon coated either. Its pissing it down here and just been to the shops at 90mph long the B roads, so they aint apalling.

Proxies, i think they are overated.........but their marketing campaign does the work! lol

Ive had A539s and now have Toyos and much prefer the proxies.

A bit better in the dry, but a lot better in the wet.

Well these come with Yoko A539s. Im usually steady in the wet anyway so u reckon they will be ok?

he said i can have: Hankook, federal, nankang or kunos or something instead but the yokos were good for the price!

Actually i was gonna mention, these willy wheels iv got at the min have cheap bf goodrich tyres on and they are spot on in the wet. usually spinning all over the place but these were supprisingly good.

Aint havin a dig mate, but thats your opinion as a RT owner. A valver has better handling and a lot more power, so tyre grip becomes a bigger factor.

Thats fine. I was refering to my brothers experience with them on his tuned Bravo HGT but I appreciate your concern. Have also been in an ERST with the same tyres and there were no problems at all. For a not so expensive performance tyre I think theyre a good choice.

I have only used contis and Toyos on the clio..

The toyos kick the contis ass in every respect.. dunno about the Yokos though.

sh*t in wet but not that bad i can put up wiv it easily
