Yozza Problem...

  200 FF Storm Grey
Around 3k revs I get loud rattles from the left side of the exhaust at the back, suspect that around that rev mark the exhaust vibrates in a particular way, it's doing my head in now though...

Just wondering has anybody had the vibration problem before? It's no doubht catching at a particular spot but unsure where :dead:

heatshield. Look underneath its probably snapped by a washer, put a bigger washer on it.

Or if you don't have one like me put a row lock of a small rowing boat on it

Ah with you now, that's through corrosion I take it? Shouldn't be happening on a 55palte car surely?

I had a similar issue, had 3 replacement exhausts from him and every one did it :(

The exhaust was fine for x weeks and it started with a little rattle that was hardly noticable and it got worse and worse as the days went on until it was really loud. It only happened at a specific rev range, it sounded fine if I was giving it some beans but driving normally it was terrible. In the end it took too long to get a 4th replacement so I went and bought a different exhaust as my car sounded so bad. I was told that they had fixed the fault that they had with it in the batch after mine (this was last year).

EDIT: However mine was a 172 so yours could be a completely different issue :p

I think it is the heat sheild, had a look under in my dinner and its exactly what you men said, the metal has corroded around the washer and its hanging down, they make the underside of these cars out of tin foil??

Heat rises, it's to stop the heat from your exhaust cooking you inside the car :rasp: I doubt it will make too much difference if you remove it but I prefer it to be there all the same...

Bigger washer = Done.

I had 3 washers go on my 54 182 so everytime I ran over a little bump on the road half of the heat shield would bounce around banging like mad. Very annoying!

x3 new big washers fitted now, jobs a good'un!

Glad I got me Powerflow now lol! still going strong after 2 years ;)
Congrats on buying a lesser exhaust.:rasp:

Yozza systems come with a lifetime warranty, if it is the system its self all you need to do is take a drive up to JP exhausts and it will be fixed FOC.

Other wise, as mentioned its your heat shield. Mine used to do it if you let off accelerating in 2nd gear. Jacked the car up and put some more bolts in the heat shield and its solved :)

Either way i dont think it is a problem with the exhaust. Have NEVER heard of anyone taking the 182 system back to jp.
