Yozza rattle

  LY 182
Hey guys.

Sorry if this is a bit stupid. Just been able to drive now my leg is out of plaster. My yozza seems to be a tad rattley. Like when the cars idle and at low revs it seems to rattle a lot it's only through the higher revs you get that great note.

Is this normal? Tried some searches but not that easy on iPhone so sorry in advance!

could be your cat when they get a bit knackered that can rattle.

on a 182 system? you'll be the first failure ever if what you say is true

the centre section can't rattle, so check your back box and exhaust hangers, also check the clamp holding the centre section onto the cat, and also the cat to manifold bolts

It might be the position from what you've said. The exhaust hangs lower on the right which I assume is the mount / hanger?

I'm awful with the technical side of cars!

I might have to take a road trip to Birmingham and let you have a look Fred? It's only around an hour and sounds like you're the yozza expert round here!

(Having not been able to drive for 2 weeks I wouldn't mind a cheeky blast anyway)!

As fred said, its likely to be the Manifold to Cat Bolts, you may need a new Cat Fitting Kit, Consists of two bolts with springs and a gasket.

Mine does this sometimes, it was the heat shield thing by the fuel tank on mine. Was loose.

Has been the heat sheild for me too, seems to rattle whatever I do, heat wrap is the way forward I think.

What is the approx linear length I would need to do the exhaust and branch manifold?
