Zero Car Tax

Hi everyone,

I had a discussion with my pals the other day as my friend bought a car that had nearly £500 a year tax to pay.

I worked in the car trade for 10 years and explained that their is a loop hole for road tax if you put in a tiny bit of effort. I haven't actually paid for tax for over 5 years, yet my car is always taxed. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

My 911 is tax exempt, legitimately.

Also have a friend who will do any car for £100 although I’m not sure how it’s done personally

Ok, so,
When you apply for tax, always select the monthly option. When you do this, your first payment does not come out for around 2 weeks after this date, but your car is obviously taxed from day 1.

On the last day before the payment comes out, SORN the vehicle and cancel your direct debit. Once SORN you can apply for tax again using the green new keeper slip on your current Logbook. It will give you an option as a new keeper but the keeper would not have changed as the log book was never changed yet the green slip number allows you to re-tax. You basically keep doing this every 2 weeks.

Don't get me wrong it's a little time consuming but if you own 2 or 3 cars with £1000 a year tax then this makes sense. Like I said I have not paid tax for 5 years.

Or, like everyone else, you could pay tax and not be a sponging quilt benefitting from everyone else’s expenditure.

Or do you not want to use the NHS, be protected by our armed forces or help to try and reduce poverty?

Admittedly the government isn’t doing a great job spending our money, but if everyone dodged tax, there would be no money to spend.

Yeah but there'd also be no money to hand out on suspicious ppe contracts etc.

Anyway, you all keep paying VED like good sheeple. Bet you pay for a tv license too, keeping all those beeb paedos in jobs

🤣

I didn't make the rules guys. I'm sorry if you feel hurt by this lol.. I really couldn't care less. The amount of taxes we pay in this country is beyond a joke and if I can get one over the tax man I will do it all day long. Maybe you should turn your anger to the unemployed or the fact that we have not been invaded by another country but we still spend Billions on defence, a defence that invades other countries! Makes total sense.

I can't imaging the DVLA/Police would share your view about this being a "loophole".

They might loop your hole because of it though.

Weird first post and strange way to introduce yourself to a forum full of people that pay tax.

It’s your choice to do that but makes you look like a bit of a c**t tbh

Either you’re openly admitting to committing tax fraud or made up some bullshit story to see if someone’s confirms it works.

I’ll go with the latter.

I haven't broken a law. My car is taxed. Tell the DVLA all you like 👍
So your view is that because the online systems have allowed this, that's somehow equivalent to it being legally permitted?

And if challenged, you would claim that your car has been taxed continuously, in spite of you not being able to provide any evidence of you ever having paid any money?

Good luck with that...

Heard of this a while back. You can argue the morality of doing this all you want, but it's nothing new and the DVLA have done absolutely f**k all to fix the issue.

It's their problem to fix, and they can't be bothered.
