Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with ZPO’s extended gearstick/gear knob?

Like the look of it and could do with the extra reach.

I had one, went back to the original, the throw is too much and the fit was rubbish.

I actually think they sent me the wrong one as well as the lift to reverse didnt work as you would expect and they wouldn't reply to my emails.

Thanks for the response @SharpyClio. Not what I was hoping to hear. I have read lots of positive reviews just couldn’t find many for our platform.

Hoping others have had better experiences.

Looks like it's only held in place with a grub screw. I wouldn't expect miracles.

I’ve got one currently fitted and in general it’s ok but it does rattle every so often. Before this I had a simple plastic gear knob in the same style which I would say was better and cost around £15 from eBay.

I don’t mind a little rattlenow and again.

Have you got the standard or large extension?

Does it help the reach?

@G4RDC I've got the standard length which is plenty, I wouldn’t want it any longer as that might feel too far away in third.

I ended up buying a 2nd hand ZPO shifter from @Jack-C. Thank you for the easy purchase. I installed within minutes of delivery.

First thoughts, the shifter definitely looks the part and does exactly what it’s made to do, extend the shifter so it’s closer to the steering wheel and easier to reach. Obviously by doing so it extends the pivot point so the gear changes are slightly extended but so far I like it as 2nd gear felt too close IMO but I might change my mind in the near future.

For now I’m happy with the purchase.
