Zymol Carbon or Creame for RB?

  Fiesta ST200
As per the title really, looking for people who have used both.

Which would be most worthwhile investing in?

Cheers guys.

Forget Creme it'll last 3 minutes in Britain. Carbon is very good, Chris has had multiple pots and if you look through his posts most of his RB are finished with Carbon.

The whole Zymol feel and specialness is very good because it's a great price. I spend the extra and buy Glasur. There are lots of amazing LSP's out there and a lot better than Carbon in some departments but none have the special feel of a Zymol wax even if they do last longer. :)

Carbon out the 2 but don't limit your choices. Also concentrate on the prep if you don't already.

Always the insightful word, Gally! Cheers mate :)

Im trying to concentrate on the prep as I guess its the most important part.

Will Amigo and carbon be a good combo to start with?

Stunning mate. I'll never recommend Amigo enough. If the car has never been detailed either polish it or use a cleanser before Amigo to get the best from RB. :)

Something like AutoFinesse Rejuvenate is a superb cleanser, there are many others. Even Amigo by machine on the right pad would cleanse but I prefer it's glazing ability.

Excellent.

Going to try out Amigo tomorrow evening, along with Iron X, Zaino Z18 and DJ Born slippy. All products I have never used.

Quite looking forward to it actually :p

Superb mate, it's always good to use tar remover when claying as the clay bar will pick the tar up and rub it over the paintwork, not great obviously.

ill second what gally says, i rejouvenated my bonnet, then amigo'd and then finally applied Glasur.

Amazing results on a silver 1.2 and every one knows how hard it is to get glossy looks on silver.

Chris that looks amazing, especially the last shot. Almost looks wet! Stunning.

Rest assured Gally, I will tar and glue the whole car and wash it, iron x and wash it before using a clay bar :)

Thanks for the input guys :)

Well Im pretty sure you all know what I think of Carbon lol.

gally, whats so good about Amigo, Does it leave a clean base or leave an oily one?

Expect Carbon to last for about 3 months, if washed with BTBM tight beading will stay for 2-3 washes depending on weather. Will sheet for about 3 months tho if you maintain it properly. Sits best over a clean layer, even better over a nano sealant like wolfs BW (Dont buy that though, out of chance I had BW on my car, applied carbon and it lasted agers).

Also spreads REALLY well, better than Glasur IMO, so for someone that likes to wax every month because they enjoy it - Its perfect.

Heres my dump wearing it. And my dads beading.

It's definitely softer than Glasur but I prefer spreading Glasur.

Amigo is squeaky clean but just so slick. Honestly it blew my mind and i've used so many glazes and cleansers.

a little step off topic, but have been using titanium lately and although a little spreads a very long way, I've not been massively wowed by it. Yet to see durability but after 2 layers I've noticed beading dropping off, but still evident, after 4weeks and 3washes. sheeting is still very quick though. similar to Toby describing Carbon I guess

Used AF Desire over EZ creme at the weekend it's still top IMO.

I just dont think Carbon or Glasur work well over anything else except bare paintwork. IPA wipedown before application to leave a squeaky clean layer allows the best bonding for those waxes Ive found.

Also, waxes have certain characteristics. BOS for example wouldnt bead after a single wash. Like, atall. It would however sheet really well for 6 months and carry that freshly waxed look for a lot longer. Worked best over an oily layer like Cleaner Fluid. Glasur lasts about 3-4 washes before the beading even starts to drop off during summer months.

Dodo juice waxes are dead as soon as it rains lol.

These AF waxes are looking like good contenders I think!

Sounds like a superb combo. I was always told my car looked at it's best with Celeste/EZ creme...

Of course the waxes bonded better to bare paintwork. That's a given I thought. It's all about the finish though. :) If you want durability buy collinites or a sealant like I did for the winter then wax in the summer. Easy! :)

the titanium was used over HD cleanse, awesome finish but what a pain to use. Took the whole car before I found a way to use it that I was happy with.

I really like the AF waxes, well the whole range TBH. I think Passion is the best all round due to cost, ease of use, fair to decent durability and looked great. Spirit nis a bit harder to use, not to be left for too long but durability is awesome. Desire is great, but at £120 I'm glad I won it.

£120! Pmsl! I love AF but I never really got their waxes. Way too many of them, especially withthe new ones coming out.

Always fancied trying desire. They all just seem to be waxes, there is no niche to them.

True Dat.

And f**k me Gally, your car looks amazing. Proper Hero Boat that.

It needs painted. There's only so much detailing can do until paint is required. See how things go.

Bit gappy at the front otherwise i'd agree. It's epic in the right hands... not mine...

There's never been a real big marketing action taken by AF to try and get the brand a bit more definition, other than the 'win 1 of 20 pots of Desire' which I think is a little strange, although most that try have always been fairly pleased. I was hoping to get hold of some of the pre wash that I think you managed to get? But even with Desire, still don't really know anything about it.

But if I'm honest Passion, Spirit and Desire can go head to head with there cost comparable Zymol for looks, beading and durability. The only thing they may fall on is sheeting, but desire holds onto that pretty well also. BUT... I can only base this on my limited use of Carbon and Titanium, still yet to crack open Concourse

That's the thing I don't doubt the waxes are superb and the got the marketing spot on with Desire. Lets take Spirit for example. Didn't feel special at all, the packaging etc yet jumped into the ring boxing with the big guys at £80/£90.

I know some people will take the risk but I always say this, it's about more than just performance. AG HD is superb wax that lasted a year and looked perfect but that really is not the point.

I don't know. I guess it's hard to build a following but look at the rest of the range, massive following already yet the passion and soul just simply don't really hit the mark with me. Weird.

They made me want to try Desire.
