You checked your plugs ht leads and coil pack? Mine once went into limp mode due to me having squashed a lead between the engine and the inlet manifold. One moment fine the next boom.

Thanks for the help chaps. The revving was indeed an air leak. The gasket at the back of the inlet manifold had fell off and I didn't even see it. Was resting on y exhaust manifold.
The other issue turned out to be a squashed ignition lead I think. Really squashed. Replaced it and it's lovely...
Any issues with breaking. Abs kicking in at below 10mph? My lights are on but I know my problem. The abs ring has snapped. Got a new one but struggling to get hub nut off to replace. I ain't d Wayne Johnson after all.
Ok so today my clio 172 went funny 140 mile round trip no issues then stopped to drop something off at a shop and boom. Running funny. Very similar if not the same to when an injector went and was running on 3 cylinders. This isn't my concern. My initial instinct was plugs leads and coil pack so...
mine is a sport? how do i know if its a sport or not? surely all 172's are sport by virtue?
it does have a pollen filter under the driver side panel on the window. actually surprisingly easy to change and i'm a howler with cars.
ok i went out tonight in the car and my front window wouldnt de-mist! not fun! i read somewhere a long time ago that this could be due to the pollen filter? is that correct?
had the heater on full heat and full whack.

well its all running sweet now so regardless of it cost me 50 bucks or 550 at least its set for a year or 2;) thanks for the help though guys. always good to learn new stuff.
