They werent stuck hard, but probably weren't as free as they should be due do brake dust build up.
I definatley removed the shims when I put them in, but dont think I ground the back plate?
I bought them from yozzasport, would they have come with the back plate ground down, or should I of...
For the last few months my 172cup has just been used for pottering around to work and back. the brakes have been getting worse and worse.
I had a quick look through the wheel and discs/pads looked okay for wear. The fliud is a bit low, so decided to change fluid and bleed it through.
Today I...
A few years ago I had a prima racing wp pro 310mm brake conversion kit on my Clio. This included 310mm wp pro discs, wp pro pads and a replacement carrier to use the standard calliper.
I didn't find them great, so when the wore out I went back to the standard carrier with brembo hc discs and...
The car has done just under 45k.
I'm not sure if the fuel pump was priming, because the only time its stopped on me it started again straight away.
I've filled the tank with super unleaded and am going to drive it myself for a few days to see if there are any more problems.
My Mrs bought a 05 182 about 5 weeks ago.
All has been fine with it until this week.
She phoned me to say it had cut out on her and wouldn't start again.
My brother towed her home, checked it over and couldn't find any problems, but it still wouldn't start. He put a can of fuel in and it...
....that was lazy of me... I've searched a few threads now, and believe it does have cup packs.
Looks like it has same rear spoiler as my 172cup
Has a front splitter
Has anthracite wheels...
So I guess it does have cup packs.
I've had a 172cup for a few years.
My wife is on the verge of buying a 05 black gold 182.
The current owner doesn't know a lot about them and is not sure if it has cup pack(s)
What are the options? and how easy is it to tell what it has?
It does have the darker colour standard wheels...
Sorry for the slow reply. Some of the bits you're looking for have already gone, so you'd be better off buying a complete axle off someone else. Cheers.
Relisted. Ebay removed it due to saying 'have the right to end auction early'

Are there any tyres avaliable the correct size for an exige that are good in the wet? I know the A048s are awesome in the dry, but not so good when wet.
I've never had this problem with my cup, but a mate who has a totally standard 172 cup has it, and seems to think his front break line rubs the shock and makes a squeaking sound on full lock. think he only has it turning one way though.
I put greenstuff pads on mine when the original wp pro pads wore out. Didnt find them a lot better tbh.
Also had very uneven wear on the disks as you said.
I'm sure the v6 callipers are 4pots, but from previous threads dont think they will fit a 172.
How did u like the wp pro kit?
I had same kit on my cup. didnt think it was any better at all over standard brakes!
I wanted to stay with 310mm brakes, mainly for looks, but now have yozzasport brembo 280mm hc disks with ferodo ds2500 pads. Much better!

Does anyone on here have a 172/182 with a quaife atb?
Just wondered what they are like in a clio? A mate of mine has one in his 205mi16 and loves it. Awesome on tight bends!
