wouldnt feel comfortable driving a nissan sunny though, just cos its a sunny. pulsar sounds much meatier!!! i understand that the running costs are gonna be high, but to be fair any turbo car pushing out 220 bhp as standard is gonna be expensive to run. It was either this, an impreza turbo or a...
went to santa pod on sunday to jap fest! all the top jap cars pulling some quality 1/4 mile times! decided that i would look into getting a pulsar gti-r. For those of u that dont know this is a 2.0 16v 4x4 turbo in a car roughly the same size as the clio!!!
after looking on autotrader i have...
i have exactly the same problem mate, but mine wont accelerate properly past 5000 revs! ive already changed my dissi cap, rotor arm, uprated my air filter, plugs and leads. Also fed the 16v with some injector cleaner. What is the f**king problem????
i lose so many races due to this, think...
the gt4 or the new car will be my new life!!! the 16v aint the cheapest car to run particularly with all the things that have gone or going wrong with mine!!! look forward to a new challenge! i think now weve established the corrado is too heavy and crap handling but i think it has a lot of...
cheers for all the advice, not much difference in performance between gt4 and scooby is there? would love a scooby but im thinking that maybe they are too common and only affordable ones are 5 doors!
if i get a scooby it will be about 98 r or s reg as i think there was a slight facelift in this year-different vents or something! a gt four will be the m,n,p reg and a corrado would also be an n reg!
had the valver for almost a year now, insurance has gone down, got a new job, year older, think its time to leave the clio and get a new motor! as in the tittle i have narrowed it down to 3 choices. Looking to spend between 5 and 8 grand! can anyone give me some advice into which direction to...
have heard this complaint before how is it fixed and where does the rain come in? is it the aerial or the sunroof?
also do a lot of motorway miles and get very annoyed with loud wind noise that comes from the sunroof, if i push the roof up where the rcl unit is the noise stops! shall i try to...
how could you drill them after the filter on a valver? I only drilled the sides where the filter is visible. Mine also looks like swiss cheese! The custom air feed is not acutally that custom, the original pipe had come off so ive reconnected it and angled the pipe just underneath the bumper...
drilled holes in my airbox and modified the cold air feed sounds wicked and also gained slight performance for FREE!!!! i would recommend it to anyone.
at 5000 revs i am pulling about 110. After a further 5-10 mins of flooring it and getting by the 5-5000 revs flat spot i pulled up to 120 but had 2 slow cos a focus was in my way!!! wat top speeds have u lot had in the 16v??
im gonna change the leads/plugs and also the fuel pump and filter, if theres still no change ill take it to hillpower and see what nick says,
thanks anyway
Having serious problems with my 16valve, please can somebody help me? There seems to be a huge flatspot between 5000 and 5500 rpm! Paticularly noticeable on the motorway when in 5th gear and trying to boot it. Car accelerates like it should and then its almost like it hits a limiter at 5000...
Is the bottom line from u lot that induction kits do not work on a clio 16v? surely hillpower have figured a way of getting around this and designed a direct cold air feed? on the subject of hillpower, does anyone know how much the induction kit costs fully fitted??
Cheers !!
alright, have the cars been lowered at all??? thinkin of gettin 17s as urs both look wicked. Do they fit on with no hassle, rubbing or ote?
where are you two from?
cars pretty standard at the minute. got 2 12 subs in the boot. Silver williams type wheels think the tyres are 185/55/15!
Does anyone know if hillpower do cambelt changes and if their competitively priced?
cheers for that lads, think ill go for the magnex, its slightly cheaper. I do want a nice sound but i dont want it to overpowering like a 1.3 sr nova!!!! found a full cat back system magnex for £221 from http://www.hyperformancedirect.co.ukwww.hyperformancedirect.co.uk does that sound any good...
Anyone know where i can get a cheap cambelt change in the east midlands?? Renault quoted me £600! went down my local garage this morning and they didnt really wanna know, apparently the 16vs a b**ch to work on. They were saying they might need a special kit to get access to the cambelt and...
it doesnt stop at 5500 revs, it just hits some kind of resistance. Doesnt happen in all the gears, though noticeable in third and when trying to do 130! will get it checked out. would love to go to bb performance but im in leicester and its a TREK!
Cheers for the ideas
