No i used the beta 3.0, using itunes 8.2 see my screen shot - now trying to use the public one im gettin an error and my iphone wont even work.

Yes/No same prob but mines a 1 month old unmolested example.

Appears to be Apple's end as the support forums appear fubar'd too

My iphone appeared to do feck all for about 30 mins then sprung into emergency call, 10 mins later the 3.0 software was loaded, now like you i'm attempting to pull my backup down and getting this error.

Oops. Glad I downloaded mine straight away then.

I'm running 3.0 now. No problems.

This will get lost in the pages and pages of OMGWTFBBQ 3.0!!!11111oneoneoneone eleven stuff, but i thought this was worth posting up.

Its a review (with videos) of the 3g vs. the 3gs its got direct video comparisons illustrating just how much faster at performing actions the 3GS is in comparison to the 3G.

Mine isn't timing out anymore its just stuck trying to access iTunes store, with the phone stuck in Emrgency calls only...

Mines fucked up too. Not run any betas or jailbreaking just a normal 3g I phone.


I get cannot connect to i tunes library, And the Phone ahs a USB and the i tunes logo with slide for emergency?

I had that then magically it chirped at me an now I'm sat here with a freshly restored brick minus all my data.

This wouldn't happen with Microsoft...

I had jaibroken/hacked 2.2.1, but managed to upgrade to 3.0 without issues thankfully! Took a while though, had to open up itunes a few times.

mine upgraded fine lol, maybe its cos im on mac.... anyway do u need to be in a 3g area to send mms?? or can u send it wifi??

I would have though anywhere you can send MMS. But then again mines not working yet!

What do you di just leave it connected or keep disconnecting the cable, Clicking ok etc?

HAd mine not working for almost 2 hours.. its ok now though

edit actually no it isnt..its activated but everything on it is lost..apps etc etc

Close Itunes

Restore iphone manually

Let it do its thing

The press iphone in itunes

and then it worked :) give it time... took me 20 mins

me no understand this shizzle. Its all updated now etc.

I can connect to Itunes store within I tunes fine. Yet if I click Iphone within Itunes... get this bloody cant connect to store b****cks... errr I think you can coz its loaded up fine on the other tab!

Anyone else annoyed by having to move all the icons from right to left cos of voice memos?

Stick with Steve, only taken me 2 hours 15 mins to update!

Working now, No idea why it decided to moveall my apps about so that i had a page with 1 app on and then a full page after it :S
