Number plate light won't come out...

Hi,

How'd you get the number plate light out a mk3? Tried prying it out with a screwdriver and just got stuck half way now is hanging half out.. any ideas?

Small flat blade, lift out the side with the cut out first, then pull it out square. If it's the original one it will require a bit if force.

Found out last owner bent the clip putting it back in, anyone know the part number for a new one? And a good place to buy one?

Part number there also matches the light from a mk1clio reg plate? Could it be the same part? Alot of mk1 ones very cheap on ebay

Anyone think there's hope at bending the clip back? Ended up taking it to halfords in the end as my girlfriend didn't like my language at the light getting stuck! The bloke there said it's bent and he can't bend it back, but going to have a go myself tommorow now he's sort of bent it back and hopefully it'll bend back easy and perfectly!
