you've got loads of bolts missing from the stat housing, will be coming from behind that, think one of the bolts missing will give you an oil leak for a kick off.

Doh ! Will find the bolts for them in my box .

Was unsure if them holes were for fixing a bracket for loom or summit .

Hopefully its it's just that

top right has a bracket on it, middle front has a short bolt in, it's a bung for bleeding the cooling system.

don't know if you want to get someone to merge all your threads, getting a bit messy;)

I don't know these cars very well and it was 2 years ago when I removed the engine !

Hard work when you know nothink about these cars

Yeah I'm thinking this and would explain the leak as this has been of while engine was out .

Anybody know part number for the housing to the head ?

You will see the housing with gasket and bolts and everything else on the right of the picture

Thanks mark where did you get the pic from ?

Could do with stuff like that . Would make more sense with pics .

have you got a disc or summit ?

I have the Renault Parts System which gives me part numbers / Prices and car information (Colour/Spec)

pressed metal gasket behind the housing, this will be no use though if you don't have all the bolts in as one of the bolt holes goes through into an oil return (?) in the head and will piss oil out if the bolt isn't in.

I've got the bolts together bloke now .

Just didnt realise there was a gasket missing.

Doesn't matter if I can't get it to run lol

I did find some more bolts after .

I just assumed or forgot to put more in ! I thought there were bracket holes for wiring loom !

Do you have a part number for the gasket ?

Jesus!!!!!! Check you haven't mixed oil and water also as there is both oil and water galleries sealed by the thermostat housing. Iirc that gasket is something stupid like £35

Are you sure, Adam quoted me that unless he got mixed up with the actual housing.

How much are they out if interest Marc, I could be doing with another?

Got a gasket but it still seams to
be leaking down through thr gasket . There a little hole in the side of block where it seems to weep . Is this some form of oil return ?

Yes I had all the bolts in now buddy. Just doesn't seem to be sealing very well ! I may use some sealant too ?
