Anyone know what this plug does?

Basically I was giving my mate a hand to change his engine sand came across this connector

Can't see a plug anywhere that would go in there :S

Looks like a ph1/cup box in a ph2 car.

Ph2 gearboxes run the speedo off the ABS ring from memory so that would explain why there is nothing plugged into that ph1/cup gearbox hole.

Got a bit of an oil leak too! lol.

Best off asking Dan@SJM or one of the other geniuses on here.

yea the engine in there is leaking from everywhere possible and is fudged.

That makes sense then if it's an earlier box.

Yea it's on the gearbox (that's what it looks like to me anyway). Speedo drive sounds like a good shout to me.

Or later ph2's. IME anything from 52 onwards, although though, you can reconfigure the clocks on the ph1b's to run off the ABS.

Yea his is a 53 plate so is a later one. He'll be done to see you soon about belts and a few other bits.
