Why the love for these? These and Escorts, eugh.
Maybe its an older person thing, as it was before my time,

The ever increasing value of them says otherwise?I agree it's a piece of s**t, blue oval badges don't automatically make a car cool/in/legendary etc etc

Wish the same could be said for a 172!! I'd be selling in a shot if I could get £1500 for mine lol.Same with Capri's, a few years ago they were worth peanuts, now even 1.3 rust buckets that need scrapping are fetching a grand,
if it's even remotely road worthy you're looking at £1500 minimum.
Mad isn't it.Wish the same could be said for a 172!! I'd be selling in a shot if I could get £1500 for mine lol.
Was that a Mk3 ?I don't particularly like them, they just have sentimental value to me. They were 'the' car back when I was 15-18.
But your point about it having a blue oval not automatically making it a cool car is rubbished by the fact they still fetch good money. I appreciate you think they're s**t but the fact they are going up in value tells me that a lot of people don't.
Last week an F reg 1.3 ghia fiesta (the least desireable fiesta ever??) pretty tidy but not mint, sold for a few quid under £2,200.
Quite!Mad isn't it.
A 172/182 in any guise is better at everything than an XR2, XR3, Orion etc. Yet by comparison, is worth f**k all!
