Gearbox seal repair kit

Hi, just wondering if anyone had a part number for this as mines leaking quite badly!

I can't tag @Fred@BTM for some reason and Wolverhampton parts andy isn't on here anymore.

Can someone link me or sort me out pretty please with a cherry on top?

mapco were selling these repair kits on ebay dan but don't seem to be listing them anymore, these type can be fitted with the box in place (split design) where as the standard style seal requires a box strip

Ahh balls that would have been perfect too. Really reluctant to throw all this nice new oil in if it's just going to leak.

I have heard this on the forum too.
I have also heard that some do work so i think its just luck.

If doing the clutch on your car then its well worth the punt to see if it can help while the box is out.

The kit just jams two O-rings in there which have to be stretched over everything. If it leaks with the kit try upgrading the O-rings. Some rubber grease might help as tightness is reported initially and that maybe when minor damage is occurring.

:smile: i eventually need a rebuilt gearbox myself...leaks from other places after replacing selector seal and 3rd gear sometimes grinds
