182 knocking noise

So the other day i gave the clio 182 some stick and all of a sudden a knocking noise started its more obvious at about 2500rpm but you cam here it on tick over too.


Anyone got any ideas ??

Im trying to upload a video of it but its not working at the moment.

bottom end. sounds a bit to solid to be waterpump.

That sounds fucked, maybe the belt has slipped or the bottom pulley?

You could get a manifold pressure test done to see if the timings slipped, whats the mpg like? Any black smoke?

Yep that's fucked, it's also tapping it's nuts off.

To be honest i only drove it for 2 miles max after it happened just to get it home. Now its just sat there until after christmas. No smoke or anything but sounds like its comming from the engine block i dont think its a pulley

Yup thought as much. Still hasnt moved just sat on the drive untill everyones back to work on tuesday. Im thinking of getting it rebuilt atleast then i know its all good rather than a replacement engine the same thing could end up happening again. Ive only had the car a few months.
