Shift light fault

Anyone know a common cause for this? Seems to flicker on acceleration as if some engine movement is affecting it. Also have a faulty temp guage which could be connected as that seems to drop during acceleration

Any help appreciated

Check your coolant temp sensor and wiring mate

The shift light will illuminate at like 6k and it will hit limiter if the car doesn't think it's up to full temperature
