Something connected to my rear axle!

Hi All

I'm new to this site so please bear with!

After running a 3 hour journey back home on Saturday i found to have a hole in my rear silencer, that's not the issue though. Whilst looking for the hole i found something connected to my rear axle which no longer looks like it is connected properly. Any thoughts on what it is?

Much appreciate any help! I'm due to have an MOT on Thursday so looking to get it fixed rather quickly!

I think it's something to do with brake bias, changing it based on the weight over the rear beam?

It's for the auto leveling headlights, won't be an MOT fail as long as your headlights are aiming ok

Just cable tie it on.

Yeah, I stand corrected, was a long time ago I had a Clio and wondered what if was for!
