Clio R.S 182 FF
After owning my Clio182 for over a year I thought it was time to look back at the highs ‘n’ lows of ownership and ask myself - how good is it really? Hope you enjoy …
I agree people don’t buy a Clio for storage space (or any car for that matter) but the lack of it can be a real pain in the a$$ for everyday life when it wouldn’t have been too difficult to get those basics right (my Megane RS250 has the same lack of storage!). Annoying, especially when other brands (aka Honda) can get it right. But I agree, it doesn’t detract from what the car is.I think comparing a Clio to a Civic and the storage space isn't really a fair comparison based on purchase cost surely. I don't think people bought clios for their storage space.

Absolutely - Elan valley and surrounding area are fantastic driving roads. I take it you’ve still got your Clio?Still doing drives up to Rhayader Dams? You followed me back the one day
I always fancied having a drive in one of those - I take it there’s not much in the way of storage then?!?! Love the way they lookTry having a lupo gti for 'storage'![]()
Completely agree…for a start the Civic sits in a different category! It’s a C segment medium sized family car where as a Clio is a B segment sub contact. So when comparing sizes, storage etc you need to look at true peers like the 206 or the fiesta….otherwise why not compare it against a Ford Galaxy or Citroen Picasso of the same era? It’s basically the same sort of way of comparing things!I think comparing a Clio to a Civic and the storage space isn't really a fair comparison based on purchase cost surely. Snappy, but he said its too big, he needs a sabelt/sparco. They're on my Christmas list this yearIt's French, all it needs is somewhere to put a few cigarette packets as far as they're concerned! Definitely get on yourself Snappy's waiting list and it's worth looking at when the aux belt was last changed, 3 year service interval and seems to be often forgotten, can take the engine with it if it snaps too.
Yep, good shout about Snappy. I had planned to do it when I bought the car and as you know what things are like, you just end up living with it! LoL I did you’re right, but the 182 is in such great condition I’m keeping it completely standard/OEM and do will have to live with a steering wheel that I feel is slightly too big. Certainly needs sending off to Snappy though for a retrim which will helpSnappy, but he said its too big, he needs a sabelt/sparco. They're on my Christmas list this year
