I think the diesels may have them in a different place to petrols???

Thanks, I shall take a look. There's a very short video on youtube of a guy taking the engine mount and plastic shielding away to get access to a sensor - is that the cam sensor you said about?

Yeah that's the cam sensor mate, I've not heard of any of those failing

Cheers, car started an ran fine until last Sunday when I parked up for a few hours and it wouldn't run. However, the immobiliser may be the fault as it would very often fire on the 2nd turn of the key. The 2nd turn and it fires method worked for months and months, until last Sunday - nothing. Just trying to tick things off before I get a diagnostic...cos they aren't as cheap as they should be!!
