Check Injection System fault

  Renault Clio Rs 200
Hi guys, I apologise in advance if this is an old topic.
I bought a 2015 rs clio 200 cup just over a week ago now. The first day I had it I had an issue where just as I was getting home after hours of driving without issue, the car would skip gears from 1st to 3rd and then straight to 5th. The message "check auto gearbox" came up. After turning the engine off for about 5 minutes, it had no issues ever since. I took it back to the dealer and drove a lender car for a few days but then I got the car back 3 days ago as it's been booked in to a renault mechanic on the 20th. I've had no issues driving at all until today. I had driven the car to and from work with no issues but then as I was going out to dinner, the car made a sudden jolt and I heard and almost banging sort of noise. At the time it was in 4th and I went to accelerate and overtake someone. The "check injection system" light came on and now the car is not accelerating well at all. I left the car for about 2 hours as we were having dinner and to my dissapointment, the light and problem were still persistent on my drive home. I'm very very dissapointed and incredibly sad at this point as I really love this car. If anyone could help give me any information on what may have caused this I would greatly appreciate it!

First off how old is your battery..? If it’s original change it.
If the problem persists after this then it’s quite possibly due a transmission control module.

The battery that's currently in has no installation date marked but that was my first thought. It's cheap and I don't think it's the correct battery for the car atm. I'll post a phot of the type to get your opinion on the battery.
I was planning to get one tomorrow as I've been finishing work too late to get one during the week but now I gotta take the car back again 😕
I'll see what renault say on Tuesday about that issue but I'll definitely be getting a new battery regardless.

That looks incorrect. They need an AGM battery specifically for start stop/smart charging systems.

Thank you for confirming that for me! As for the injection system error, what could have caused that? Only a few days before renault get the car and I'm just hoping this will all be a simple fix

Voltage drops on these cars can cause ALL SORTS of random faults that would throw you off on a wild goose chase. These were some I had… after months and month of being perplexed this turned out to be the gearbox control unit up the creek.

Jesus 😦 should I be worried bro?
Mine got taken to renault yesterday and I got notified that my warranty received a claim.. dealer called and said there's some gearbox issue. Not sure how long it'll take to process the claim and once they do, Renault might not have the part readily available 😔
I'm in a tough spot right now because I really love the car but I'm wondering if this is a sign to refund while I still can 😪
Any suggestions? Should I wait it out and just hope that there won't be anymore issues after its fixed or should I get out

Well, if it helps I’ve done 20k+ since I replaced my module and it’s been good as gold since. My car has done nearly 152k miles now and this has been the only real headache and that was because of how many red herring faults the battery voltage throws up and the fact that no one has really done much testing into exactly what goes wrong. The first thing a general garage will say is clutches are fcuked. That’s not usually the case.
