Engine light for a few seconds

Hi Guys, first post here so please be gentle 😂 I bought a 128 GT a month ago and have been ragging it about. However, today on my drive home from work, about 50 minutes in, I stopped in some traffic when the engine light flashed for about 5 seconds and then went off.
Does anyone know the cause of this, or if there’s anything to worry about? Didn’t feel any noticeable difference.
I used to have a 1.2 clio that would flash and really not want to move but that sorted itself out.

Usually indicates a destructive misfire.

If it keeps doing it or the light becomes solid you’ll need to get it fixed.

It can be any number of things,
If you have an obd reader you can have a look and see if any codes have been stored to narrow down what to look for.
