CSF25 ClioSport Festival 2025 - Book Tickets Now!

  RB182 & Monaco 172
Wait, what?
He's very much got the wrong end of the stick on this one. I reacted the same way!

I run driving holidays around the UK and Europe. As part of our Wales trip we are visiting the show and spending the night with you all and a few of the attendees of my event have also booked onto the afternoon track session. Then Sunday morning we will be continuing our event through Snowdonia back towards England :)

Still a bit cheeky utilising someone else’s event to enhance yours.

CS staff put so much time and effort into making CSF everything it is, yet you and aload of others bowl up, take advantage of a cheaper track day and you can’t even be arsed paying to be a member!

I reckon there should be a ‘no other large groups or clubs without admin permission’ personally

So you’re charging people for a driving holiday and part of that includes CSF?? Just to be clear? Or what end of the stick have I got, cos it feels like a shitty end

It's become a bit of a tradition every year now that @leeds2592 and I sit on that hill at the top and watch the cars go around in the afternoon so if you do end up driving like a bellend we'll most likely call you a proper gimp from a far.
I know what you look like…
But was it you and Leeds sitting there waving at me?

Every time I came round I was trying to look at the bend and look who it was waving 😂

Seems that way.

Again, don't want to be a dick about it, but part of the appeal is knowing that it's a club day and having track time with other club members whom you know, and will be more accountable for their behaviour on track.

The CSF is an extra part not included in the ticket price for my event a bit like campsites aren't included as then it means attendees can choose if they want to stay on hotels/bnbs campsites etc. They book that separately same as if they want to attend this show or if they want me to book for them then I've Included that option on my website.

This was all Okay'd with the event organisers a lot of months ago as long as I made sure all attendees of my event were aware it's Clio Sport Festival and not part of my event. Which I have of course done!

If they aren't interested in CSF then I've also told attendees of my event they are more than welcome to have a chill afternoon round Anglesey.

I would normally attend CSF myself as I did last year so I thought it was a great way to still be able to attend and also help push ticket sales to help the festival at the same time! Like there is a good 20 of us who have booked tickets at full price so surely that helps with funding future .net events too 🤷‍♂️

I can safely say we reacted differently.

Internally I went “thank god I’m probably not coming” to “might have to come just to shout at people who break the rules again”.

If they bring children with them, just remember members do have the option of throwing them from the cliff tops on to the rocks for shouting and screaming around tents at 2am 🙏

I guess it is enchasing the weekend for our attendees having the option to attend, then the same could be said for any car event/show. A group trip to attend the Nurburgring or Le Mans 24 would be classed as the same but many driving holiday brands include trips to these locations.

Prior permissions were granted by admins and the fact when booking tickets it asked what club your represent sort of shows that organisers are happy for everyone to be welcome at this Festival whatever club you "represent" does it not?

Agree completely.

This article was blown massively out of proportion and since then I have learnt from this and massively strictening up on my safety briefings and disclaimers regarding asking people dangerously driving to leave the event and never attend anything Route 666 related going forwards.

Come on, that’s really not the same at all is it

I’d assume that’s a group or club that’s coming to enjoy the weekend as a single event, rather than tagging it onto their event to bulk it out and make theirs better. A club such as Northern Renault who have know and have been friends/supporters of CS.net for years. Members of which also pay their membership on here too 🤷

I think all that matters is that everyone has a good time? Doesn’t matter where people are coming from or who they’re coming with as long as every one is respectful. Cal has been talking to the organisers as he said and they’re more than happy for us to attend. Also as a response to that article that someone just linked, don’t believe every thing you read in the media 🤣 Will be a great weekend, looking forward to seeing your motors and having a few laps on the beautiful track!

Were the throbbers before, paying members?
I seen a lot of posts of people praising their behaviour, but AFAIK, nobody actually knew them?

100% this! I hope that’s the case, but I also hope folk understand the concern with things like that article. It’s probably the friendliest track day experience of the year. It’s certainly the most welcoming, so I, like many others want to protect the club and the general vibe. It would be remiss of us not to point out our concerns.
