Fog light icon flickering when touching the brake pedal.

I had this problem last year, but I cleaned up the contacts and it went away. The car just passed its MOT last week but I doubt the tester would have noticed this flickering. All the lights on the car are working correctly. If you watch the video, you can see the icon flickering and you can also hear when I am pressing the brake pedal. I also cycle through the different light settings on the stork. I’ve just removed the bulbs and the connectors, gave them a wire brushing and scratched the connectors to make sure there was some clean metal. I also gently bent the pins on the connectors and also on the bulb holders to make sure there is good contact.

Do you have any suggestions on what I should try next?

Check the earth points behind the plastic trim in the boot. Where the bottom boot latch is.

Water from the black grommets leaking can cause corrosion on them.

I did that and they were all fine. I still wire brushed the contacts and gave them a little WD.

Change the bulbs.

Had this on my Megane. Couldn’t get to the bottom of it, so changed the brake light bulb and Voila! Fixed.

The bulb itself looked absolutely fine which is why I didn’t change it from the off.

I had similar on my 1.5dci mk2 clio.
The plug into the tail light assembly was corroded but cleaned up well.

Well, the Clio fairy must have visited. At 1:30am this morning the light stopped flickering and I just checked it now and still nothing wrong. I will still check the boot and under seat connections this week as they've never been looked at.
