Mate of mine has this in his shed, wheels haven’t turned in close to 8 years. I’ve suggested a few times I’ll give it a run for a few days, must float it again coming into the summer months.

Built it himself in his garden. Can easy fit 7 cars in there. He's thinking about raising the right hand side and putting another ramp in too.

I came to say it was probably that. Paul Linfoot has been banging on about them for years now, so anyone in the cossie world should know they are on borrowed time. They aren't even that expensive, or had to swap out.

Can immediately tell that's not a real one by the position of the front wheel in the arch. It's set back towards the body rather than being centred.

I had a TDCi Zetec in that shape. It was one of the best cars we've had as a family car, decent'ish power, frugal, handled great and was massive inside. Just a shame it wasn't rwd.

i had one from work for a couple of months, it was really quite nice, and would happily sit at 100 on the motorway....kph of course.

Don’t remember ever posting these but thought it might be interesting to some on here.

My dad was a bit of a ford nut before he moved into jags and had most of the hot ones through tne 70s and early 80s, highlights for me being a Lotus Cortina and his Escort Mexico.

The escort was pretty special as he had the full roll cage, buckets, bilsteins etc and then fitted a BDA engine into it, basically threw every part available at it from the RS brochures:

Found an original 1971 owners club application!

This was the letter he received back from Ford about fitting the twincam, pretty cool response back!

He always used to moan at me spending money on cars, complete hypoctite!

That's brilliant. Ford used to be brilliant. I've got a load of brochures and catalogues from the '90s, when they reintroduced loads of MK1/2 competition parts, alongside all the Ford Motorsport bits for the current range.

I guess they’re no worse than anyone else nowadays but nice to see some personality was there with them back in the day.

Found some old insurance stuff too, he was paying the equivalent of £3k a year to insure the Lotus Cortina at 20!

Spotted this at the Motorist at the weekend thought it was a rep as it just looked a bit ropey, had some naff bucket seats and a boggo standard dashboard.

But was pleasantly surprised to see this when he opened the bonnet.

It’s a mish mash of bits but a genuine Cossie shell and running gear.

I think it's a cossie floorpan, but those wings where the meet it don't even look attached properly. None genuine wings and bumper too. The whole thing looks rough as f**k.

Pretty sure red top cam covers where all 2wd engines, although it could have been swapped at some point.

Yep they are fibreglass wings and bumper. The shell is Cossie though.
