Renaultsport Recaros Pointless Search?

Having just acquired a liquid yellow Clio 200 without Recaros, the inevitable search for seats has begun. I am prepared for a fair hit to the wallet, cash is set aside, but wanted to know just how realistic it is to pick up a set. Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

Sets semi frequently come up on 197/200 FB forum - £1,500 is about the going rate.

Personally I'd fine the shittest pair I could then have them redone - I can't remember the last set I saw that didn't need a retrim or the backs redone.

They come up and are usually anything from £1200 to £1600 maybe £1800 for a perfect pair but all depends on condition

Thanks for the heads up Matt. Appreciated!

I’ve missed out on a couple sets now, but more fed up with the scammers. Waiting until I get the car at this stage (import getting registered) which should be this weekend or early next week.

I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll never likely come across a set of Recaros for the 182.

The one's I've seen online for sale have generally been dogshit condition - or absolute jokers in terms of money asked.

R26 recaros, which are basically identical apart from subframes come up for sale all the time in half decent nick. Same with recaro cs, see them often enough with usual wear that can be fixed.
