soon to be a clio owner?

hi people,

im dan 23 from sheffield im currently driving an audi a3 turbo running 200bhp and 240lbs torque ! BUT.....

just thought id sign up as im looking into a new car atm and one that im looking at is of course the 172/182 cup.... i haven't drove either of these as of yet so i dont know how it will feel compared to my current car !

im also looking at a CTR and a focus RS its not going to be till after xmas when i make my decsion so im getting plenty of info in early on

just wondered apart from the obvious breathing mods etc whats the next step on the clio's to get a little bit more performance without spending big money !

Not much for getting power out of the 172/182 engine realy cheap its no VAG 1.8T.

To get over 200hp you need to spend a fair bit £2k I'd say is a beginning.

yer my aim's not to get the same power as the audi i know that would cost abit just wondered if there was anything worth doing im guessing there wont be alot in it speed wise but i think the clio will wipe the floor with it on the bends so that should make up for any loss in power !

just reading through alot of the posts now as to wether to get the 172 cup 182 cup

audi, one of the best build quality manufacturers (I rate their quality above both BMW ansd MErcedes) your selling it to possibly get a rattly french bean tin?

The cliso a good cheap laugh, but its not a car I would use daily. To small for 1 thing.

i know i must be mad ! :rasp: but my cars 7 years old now and getting on, it wont be used daily i hope as im getting a work van for that its not 100% ill get a clio have to see if they impress me first

Good cars the 172s & 182s but I do think build quality and reliablilty differ a lot from car to car....just got to find a good one.

Quite easy to live with and surprisingly economical when you need them to be plus cheap on insurance
