Corsa B Turbo

I have just been out in my m8s newly built c20 let 5 door corsa

its a sleeper being a 5 door

but the point is....

Holy...s*** it is insane, must be putting out around 250bhp. its not got a diff so the torque steer is insane

how do you recon it would square up to a turbo 182?

thats a right sleeper that. my mate has the same engine in his nova, but its stripped with a roll cage etc, not quite as subtle... lol

My mate hadthe only one up here (scotland) a few years back, it was a gsi though so not quite as sleeperish!!!

for 7 grand go to B B performance tuning and they will strap a turbo + all the gear you need, in a rolling start it will waste the lastest BMW M3. The horses are starting at 280 on the lowest boost and i have heard one being 460. that will have the corsa as long as its not wet.

5 door is the way forward :rasp:

the interior is stripped... it has front seats, lol.. all the carpets and plastics are gone!.. still has the dash etc obv. he just got mk2 astra digi dials in it aswell.. well cool.

could be interesting to try and fit one of those engines to a mk1 clio

Er NO!

Great engines. Can do silly (300+ iirc) on stock internals and have tonnes of tunning bits out there for them.

What problems did he have with it?

What was the wiring like etc?

Did he make mounts or use Mtec or alike ??

I drove tooo much so i wouldnt b able to run a 182!

Get £5 per day diesel money and im constantly running low!

Im guessing you are 17, just passed your test and havent felt the thrill of going over 80 mph so il ignore that comment :rasp:
Wouldnt really say its minging? Unless you are a chav i think most people will agree that a subtle clean car is the way forward.

Shouldnt be any problems if its done correctly with thr right parts
wiring isnt too hard if you use the bosh motronic ecu
mounts are better home made with a combination of astra - corsa than the mtec mounts

i priced to do mine at 4500, doing it myself but the car was immaculate so the engine would have had to be the same

Disagree totally - I know many with this engine in many different vaux's and its far from reliable even in stock trim.... PLUS i was interested in one after having my red top 16v but after a lot of research i was strongly advised to stay clear, even ranked No1 worst engine by a local Vaux specialist!... i am just "joe public" and dont have my own garage and place to work on my car WHEN it goes wrong... its ok if you have the space, tools, and knowledge, but if not it will mugg you off

i used to have a 3 door corsa b with a c20let turbo in it. to be honest it was a nightmare to drive and was no where near as torquey as my 172

I drive my misses 1.2 5 door corsa 1.2 same shape.... the chassis struggles with the 60bhp.... lol
