Hong Kong PS3

Someone My aunt works with has had to go to Hong Kong this week and will be going back before xmas and new years and will have to go out there a few times after that.

I spoke with her today and she said she will gladly pick me up a PS3 (should she be able to get one) just wanted to know if its a good idea or is it better to wait? And what is the overall difference especially with region encoding and stuff...

If you only bring one back they don't usually bother with import duty. Brought lots of things back and they never do.

you can hide clothes in your case, how are you going to hide a ps3 easily????

its a heavy box and probably quite bulky, would be a risk

when ever i bring clothes, dvds, got my psp from hk, havent had a problem with import duty.

But good luck finding 1 for retail price tho, as most of them are gone i think, all the upcoming 1s being released have all been reversed.

I would be more worried about the warranty tbh. How do you get it fixed if somethin goes wrong when its a jap only warranty ?

Reversed thats ok as long as they havn't been reserved I stand a chance of getting one :rasp:

I hear ya but if My aunts friend will be there for 6-7 months next year like she is planning then I could always send it back out to her if worst came to the worst...

opps lol i cant spell.

if u get 1 in HK it will be HK warranty not Japan warranty. think u can get ones without the warranty which are cheaper, as if any problems occur with them u av to find somewhere to get it fix urself, not send it to sony hq.
