6x9's Who was it?

I'm sure I read somewhere on here the other day, someone said you could fit 6x9's in the back of MK2 PH1/2/3 at the sides (either side of the parcel shelve)

I can't find the thread and I can't remember who it was :dapprove:

Your best bet is to do without! Theres a good reason all the best speakers are round

Are they? YOur seats must be higher than mine were

Instead of spending money on rear speakers spend teh extra on a set of kick ass components for teh front and disconnect the rears, remember your ears face forwards, therefore thats where you want the best sound quality coming from.

I've replaced all the speakers and the headunit and the front always sounds better than the back.

Half hidden behind the seats.

Replaced standards with these and a Sony CDX-MP40 headunit.

They aint really, take teh back seats out an you'd be lucky to notice the difference. The reason tey are muffles is cos they are behind you and the soud as toget past the front seats to get to you

Keep it subtle upgrade the speakers behind the grills

i used to have 6x9s in my old clio, in the new one i just put an alpine head unit, some alipine speakers in the front and a sub in the boot, it sounds good in my opinion, far mroe balances sound compared to the old car. the tweeters are even still great for the standard ones.
