Pretty poor card mate by todays standards, if you're after AGP then there's only one card worth upgrading too, X1950Pro.

wish my mobo supported agp 8x, only goes to 4x, so I'm guessing that would be a huge bottleneck.

Unless someone knows where i can get an agp pro card that'll be good for gaming
(not that agp pro has any advantages over agp 4x, as its just an extention of the agp slot to give more power)

Better card for not much more money

Yep, still using my HIS-branded 9800 Pro in my old PC. Still good enough for running the likes of GTR2 and Battlefield 2 with medium detail. Good cards, imo.

High end nVidia are, yes, because ATI haven't caught up with the 8800 Series as yet.

I've always used ATI though as the AIW series is one of a kind.

nVidia do good business graphics, have Quadro in one of the machines at work.

Indeed we/I don't have to agree. Making sweeping statements about a company and rubbishing them without justification doesn't hold water. Especially with a company such as ATI, who have repeated played cat&mouse with nVidia.

It's the same with Intel and AMD. Sure if I was buying a new PC tomorrow there's no choice but to buy a C2D, but AMD will be releasing their new chip Q2/Q3 which allegedly will challenge Intels current dominance.

In a market as volatile as PC components, I just don't see fit to "ATI suck" simply because nVidia currently hold the reigns.

In your opinion im categorically wrong doesnt make it fact!
I have had ATI and nvidia cards have 3 PC's at home (2 running nvidia, one running ATI) and with regards to games nvidia outperform ATI. Spout your garbage if you wish but that is my experience and I could quote multiple PC magazines who would appear to agree!
