Ferodo brake pads! any good?

  mini cooper (RIP 172)

are the ferodo premier pads any good?

if the same as standard (or better) then i'm happy

Ive only got the Ds2500 which are ace but eddes told me before (corrected me) that the standard ferodos are good so im guessing they will be better then standard.

Got fade loads of times on standard pads. Nearly stacked it in to a pile of sheep round a bend because of it. All sorted now though. I have no issues with spending money on stopping power !

The 182's suffer from terriable wheel design the stock pads are infact very good they just cannot cool behind stock wheels so fade quick under hard use.

Best upgrade is to chnage for better cooling wheels and preferably lighten for handling.

IMO stock pads with good fluid fully bleed is a great balance.

Well, i was actually having some breaking issues which i deemed as highly dangerous. Sometimes i would break and they would be harldy any friction.

Decided to bleed the fluid, stick in some fancy dot 4, upgrade the disks and put some Ds2500s in.

Can stop on a penny now lol

Bleeding the fluid makes a huge difference particuly on 182s as this is what suffers when the brakes cannot cool due to the wheel design.

Most 182's problems can be fixed by new fluid and just checking the pads for excess heat.

I'm running DS 3000's in my Brembo's and I cannot get the buggers to fade even on the ring.

:)

that's what you get with race pads i had a set of ferodo ds2500 pads in my trophy and i only ever got the slightest bit of brake fade and that was at Donny
