if i've got a 20inch g5 imac...
am i watching it in HD format? and if so which format can you run... obviously not 1080, but 720 or 460?

well my my 19" runs a native res of 1280x1024

so it nearly has the lines to run 1080 but because it's 4:3 it can't do it

Thought that might be it though... running a fair bit o ram but the processor is gettin on now. got the G5iMac when it first came out.

yeah the g5 doesnt really cut it for 1080p but tbh you wont notice much between 720 and 1080 especially on a 20" screen 1080i it should run fine with tho

it's mad that it can't process a 1080p video it's only about 30Mbps (iirc)
