Mechanical Problem with Dynamique

Posted last night about this problem but I have been under the car to check it all out a little since.

Basically I am confident it is not anything knocking against the wheels or dragging on the floor etc...

It is definetly something mechanical but as the noise only happens in gear it is hard to identify. It is definetly getting louder if that helps.

It is an intermittant wooshing/chugging sound. The car still seems to drive like before however.

What can it be?

Sensible suggestions only please guys.

How can I check the ARB?

I am sure its coming from the Engine though Edde?

And when the clutch is depressed (when driving) there is no noise at all?

Check the geatbox has fluid then

ARB won't be the issue then forget that is is just when the cars moving thenw aht about leaving it in gear and reving it when its still.

Ok.

Gearbox oil certianly say logical.

How can I check this? If it is low can I source new stuff from say Halfords?

Yep the problem is you need to stick some in to see if its full as the oil runs out when its full.

Halofrds yep plus you need some way of getting more oil in there with a pipe etc.

mines got a gearbox noise aswell its only done 40k
sounds almost like a faint tappety noise when the windows are up and its only when the box is spinning

Yep fine to mix. There differetn type burt mixing isn't realy an issue.

I have just been out in it again.

It never happens when the clutch is depressed and it is worse in high gears.

Would it deffo happen all the time if its an exhaust?

Ditz - does it sound like a chugging sort of sound?
