Get a 1.2. Insurance for a 1.4 at 17 will be ridiculous. Buy a 1.2, save money on the insurance (will still be ridiculous tho!) and spend that on the car.

when i was first looking round for insurance for my 1.2, insurance didnt seem to be too different for a 1.4.
