Paypal / eBay non-receipt question

I won't go into the details, but would appreciate some info.

Basically, I bought something off eBay, the person hasn't sent it (well I haven't received anything), they are no longer registered with eBay (surprise, surprise) and I have raised a claim with Paypal. Paypal are currently saying if the seller doesn't respond to my claim in the next few days the claim will automatically go in my favour, does this mean I will just get my money back?

Yes, 'IF' it goes in your favour they will just refund you and take the money out of his paypal account.
If he does not have sufficient funds they will just put him in the red and chase him up (Usually send NCO round).......Just ask Dogmaul

Also remember that Paypal charge you a fee, if the seller doesn't have enough money in there account. IIRC?

I got back a big chunk of money when I bought a cable from a guy in the states. The cable eventually arrived. I never refunded his money. I felt it was an "inconvenience fee".

The bad thing is, he left eBay and thus I could never leave him feedback. C0ck.

Yep I had the same thing as well gareth, paid for an item never arrived. Seller disapeared, thankfully my faith in payapl was there and I received all the money back. I would never buy anything from ebay if they wouldn't accept paypal.

Also managed to leave bad feedback before ebay made them no-longer registered

Watch out with some of the people on there who are no longer registered, some i've seen on there do go back on there again (often under the same account & username) So you'll get to leve them the feedback after all
