is £23 a good quote for a new auxillary belt on a mk 2 phase 1 clio 1.4rt also i have alot of oil on my alternator an the guy says he can steam clean it off an find where the oil leak is coming from. the driveway underneath the car has an oil spillage on and he thinks it mite need a new cam seal anyone any ideas hw much the cleaning an new seal would cost as he says he cant giv a quote as of yet? help plz guys

check to see if your rocker cover is leaking, that may be the reason,. duno about the new Auxillary soz

sounds about right...if your leaving it into renault though for fitting, count yourself in another £100. mine is in today getting exactly the same thing done...£20 for the belt, 2 hours labour to fit it!

Yep thats cheap.

Don'ty steam clean the bay though will wreck the wiring.

Find where its leaking first might not be the cam gasget the gearbox leak clean the bay with cloths etc then work out if its gearbox etc oil.
