RS Tuning ecu remap or K-Tec??

Hi all,

Currently trying to decide which one of the two to go for. Apparently K-tec are not going to have there ECU re-map ready for the 197 for about 4 weeks :dapprove: is it worth waiting?
Has anyone had any experience with either of these companys ecu re-maps? reliablilty/service/value for money?
Ive just had a look on the RS Tuning site and they look ok, plus i dont have to travel as far!

Do you know how much he charges and if he does inlet matching?

you have to get the inlets from angelworks, get them fitted and then take the car to RS Tuning, whom I highly recommend even though it is a long trek.

why would you want the inlet matching on a 197 ?
i have the itg pannel fillter,milltek full system with secondary cat removed completely and the RS Tuning remap.
all runs great and would highly recomend pauls work.
i'm going up again on 21st july for the remap tweaked.

I understand that the power increase is prob negligable by having the inlets done but its on my long list of tuning mods.
I have a westfield megablade as my second car that i track which i had some porting done on there was a difference..... so why not?
Lots of small gains should = a noticeable difference!
Going to be ordering the itg panel filter from K-Tec tonight as no-one is currently doing a decent induction kit. will be following it up with Decat and cat back.

maxogen kit was on the ktek car at FCS but its just a prototype.nowhere near ready for release yet.

Why does it disappear behind the buklhead then reappear as it enters the throttle body?

I supose its only a prototype. No doubt when they produce the real thing it will look nothing like that and hopefully in carbon!

Happy to recommend PMurray at RSTuning - had excellent service and very quick turnaround from him with an ECU exchange on the 172 Cup.

When combined with manifold-back upgraded exhaust parts his remap software makes the car very good indeed ! Goes like a ba**ard TBH !

Do RS tuning offer parts? or do they just offer a good tuning service one you have purchased the parts elsewhere?? I have had a look at there web site and it appears that the "products" section doesnt work!

there is a double right angle bend in the silicone hoses to get it in the right position to create anough room for it.
the prodution one may have a one piece hose and a better airfeed pipe.

rs tuning can get parts yes. and pretty cheap...depends on what your after and how cheap you can get it personally. but they will fit parts you supply too.
