internet speed check...

ive got tiscali broadband and its the upto 8mb one, i got told my line would be able to handle 4.5mb and its connecting and saying its 6.1mb?

ive been doing speed checks and its saying 2097kbs download and 380kbs upload....that cant be right surely?

You need to show us:

* Your line stats - (Attenuation & Noise Margin, upstream and downstream)
* The current sync rate.

You'll be (probably) be able to find them on some page on your router.

And don't do speed tests in the evening when everybody is surfing the web, do them early in the morning or very late at night.

the women on the phone when i first took it out done a test and she said thats all my line can take, but im connected at 6.1 mbps?
