Truck hit my car today

Car  Renault meggy
Just been swiped by a truck coming out of games workshop in nottingham. I cant explain what happened so here is a picture. Not very happy about it. I will post pics of my car soon :dapprove:

Is that the description you put on the claim form??

You didnt have right of way due to it being a t-junction. So it could be a partial blame due to you not leaving enough space for the truck to move into the junction.

Isnt that bad however for the clio.

Hardly his fault, truck drivers at their best.

nothing to do with right of way. he was in lane sat still.... so it was clearly the lorry drivers fault....

Yes but I was waiting there before he came to turn in so he should have judged it right and waited until it was clear to go. I could do nothing but reverse and by the time I was in reverse I was on my back wheels so I was just being pushed backwards by the truck
 
ouch, thats a bit of bad damage. i dont think it was ur fault as u was behind another car in your own lane. the lorry cut by the looks of things in your diagram.

hope it gets all sorted, and is just like new soon.
 
I hope it all gets sorted quickly for you, I bet there was no damage to the lorry.

I had a similar thing at a junction with a bus once. I wanted to turn right out of a junction an the bus wanted to turn right into it but was waiting for traffic comming his way to go past before making the turn.

I noticed how the bus was too far back and his wheels were already turned, he was basicly 'aimed' at my car so I quickly looked behind and it was thankfully clear so I reversed back 15 feet, to the point where, when a car did eventually que behind me he flashed me to move forward, just then the sodding bus driver swung the buss into the junction and still missed my car by litterally an inch with his back arch so had I not reversed that far back I would be looking at the same damage as you.
 
If the lorry driver takes full blame which he should doesn't matter the wheels will be repaired.

I had similar thing on a roundabout Lorry went into the side of me. I took all his details down but he paid for it out of his own pocket. Reckon he was pulling a foreigner with the works truck so didn't want them involved.
 
ouch, looks a tad nasty!

though could be a good reason for new wheels? not a fan of those one's on it at mo
 
did he admit liability? not sure wether he will send them to insurance? leave them to be on the safe side and if the question comes up just say you bought the car like that..... would be much harder to answer the question if you switched back to standard ones..

He didn't admit it but he knew it was his fault.
 
not sure how your diagram explains that... I hate the geeks at games workshop!... why do they insist on playing massive tournaments afeter work?
 
it looks like you took pics too, which is good, did you pay for legel cover with your insurance?
if you wernt moving, how could it be your fault, even if you were in the middle of the road, he was driving without due care and attention.

if it comes down to it, the wheels were on the car when you brought it.

Exactly what I thought. I just hope they claim liability soon as I need my car for uni soon :(
