'We are unable to quote'... pardon?!

after getting some reasonable quotes on 1*2's (as i am looking to get one, eventually) i thought id get a quote on my current car, a saxo vtr. On a 182 priviledge quoted me £1200 which was the best i could get, so i put in my current reg in... 'we are unable to quote'. this is now happening on every insurance website i try. i get quotes on a group 16 car but not a group 7? this happened to anyone else? very frustrating!
 
they probably just want you to speak to them in person. i've had it and thats what gave me a quote.
 
I've just got this today online from More Than, Esure & Elephant and i'm 24 and had the car over 2 years now. lol

Virgin and Directline seem my best bet this time round.
